About Us

Faith Kindy Plus provides a calm, consistent and family-oriented environment. Our program focuses on play based learning, with a balance of intentional teaching experiences and child-initiated play.

We offer the “best of both worlds” – a dedicated Kindergarten with kindy aged children only, and the added convenience of offering extended hours/preferred days.

Faith Kindy Plus places an emphasis on Lutheran values, introducing the ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ through stories, songs, activities and prayer school experiences.

What does Faith Kindy Plus offer?

Bachelor qualified + registered Early Childhood Teachers working alongside fully qualified Educators
Curriculum developed in alignment with the learning frameworks: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
Approved Kindergarten Program offering the Government “Free Kindy” incentive
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) available to eligible families
2 close knit classes with 22 students in each class
Hours : 6.30am – 6.00pm
Bookings of up to 5 days per week, depending upon availability
Open year round including school holidays (only closed for 2 weeks over Xmas period + on Public Holidays)
Breakfast, morning tea, afternoon tea and a late snack are provided, with an emphasis on healthy, balanced food

Our Kindy Plus children can enjoy the serenity of a spacious outdoor nature play area 🌿, complete with an architecturally designed fort in the playground 🏰! They can explore the shaded sandpit, digging patch, obstacles courses and various water play activities 💦.

There are native bees 🐝 buzzing around, an edible veggie 🥕 Patch and a grassy playground area with flower beds set amongst the shady eucalyptus trees.

Prep Readiness

The program at Faith Kindy Plus places value on developing skills to ensure the children are confident to successfully transition to Prep. Throughout the year we aim to teach, nurture and encourage:

Independence
Resilience & emotional regulation
Positive social interactions
Self help skills

Being located on the grounds of the Primary school allows us to immerse the children in various aspects of school life and culture. They are included in chapel and assemblies, visit various primary school learning spaces, and participate in some whole College events throughout the year.

It is the College’s aim to ensure that the children feel like they are part of a community from their very earliest school experiences.
