Secondary News T4 W8 2021

I cannot believe we are at this point again. Celebrating our amazing staff and students achievements and getting ready to say farewell for the summer holidays. I thank everyone for their support of the College this year and wish everyone a safe and relaxing break.

The final week is a busy time at the College. Below highlights a few key things that are happening along with some useful information to support family organisation:

Christmas Cheer

During the last week of Term (29 November – 3 December) students and staff are invited to get into the Christmas spirit by wearing a “Christmassy” accessory with their regular daily school uniform throughout the week.

This could include Christmas Socks, Christmas Baubles, Christmas Hair Tie/Ribbons etc.

On Tuesday, 30 November (in the same week) we invite staff and students to wear Christmas Free Dress on this day.

This could include Christmas t-shirt, Christmas shorts/skirt, Christmas dress etc Usual College free dress day guidelines apply.

Faith Celebrates

Next Thursday, 2nd December, at 6pm we are hosting our end of year Celebration of Learning in our Junior School Sports and Performing Arts Hall (SPAH).The evening will run for about 2 hours and finish around 8pm. This is a very special community moment for our College. We gather for one last time together for the year, from our littlest Preppies to our big Senior kids, mums and dads, families, community representatives and staff. This event is compulsory for students and as such we ask once again that families make a note of the time and date and support our kids and our team by joining us on this special evening.Due to COVID protocols and requirements, and to keep the capacity of the hall at 100% not one person every 2 square meters, we need to run the night as a ticketed event. Below is the link to reserve tickets for the evening.

In the last week the following uniforms need to be worn:

2022 Student leadership appointments

Congratulations to the large number of Year 10 and Year 11 students who applied for student leadership positions for 2022. The depth of talent made the selection process very difficult for staff and we thank those students who did not receive a position next year for their gracious attitudes and understanding.

Leadership is about serving others and we thank and appreciate all those students who have put themselves forward to serve the Faith community over the coming 12 months. We will be filling the roles of Student Representative Council and Student Ministry team early Term 1 next year and there will be many informal leadership opportunities available to students who wish to lead in our community.

Congratulations to the following students for being selected to serve in the Secondary School as student leaders during 2022.
