Secondary School

The library is open before and after school for students who wish to make use of our facilities/resources. Students are asked to sign in and out if staying in the afternoon.

Resources available

Our libraries have a large range of digital resources available to students, including Wheelers eBooks, Britannica School and other materials. Students are regularly reminded about these resources and how they can access them. Secondary students will find links on Student Central, whilst Junior School students use QR codes or are shown how to save the needed links on their iPads during library lessons.

Extra-curricular Activities

Our libraries are becoming a hub for many extra-curricular activities. Students who are interested in any of these activities should speak to Mrs Monica Altmann.

Overdue Books

You may receive emails from time to time about overdue books. Your attention to these is much appreciated. Students with overdues may not be permitted to borrow further books until those loans are returned.

Homework Club – Secondary School

A teacher is available in the Lighthouse from 3:10pm-4:25pm on both Monday and Thursday for basic tutoring / help with homework.

Lighthouse Café – Secondary School

Canteen staff are serving breakfast at the Lighthouse Café on Thursday and Friday mornings between 7:45 and 8:20am. An excellent option for students coming to school early for training or rehearsals! Please note that the canteen is accepting card payments only.

ID Cards – Secondary School

Secondary students have received their ID cards, apart from a small handful who were absent on our photo catch-up day. Students should take care of these cards as there is a charge for replacement. Whilst at school, students should carry their cards and use them for library borrowing and printing. They are also able to be used at the canteen once set-up and connected with your My School Connect account.
