Outdoor Education
The outdoor education program aims to foster personal growth through:
- The growth of interpersonal relationships;
- An increase in independence and personal responsibility;
- The development of skills in being part of a team;
- The experience of independence and interdependence;
- Experiencing new environments and activities;
- The development of self esteem through the acquisition of new skills; and
- Developing friendships
Outdoor education is an essential part of the curriculum at Faith Lutheran College. The benefits from the program are wide and varied. The experiences, in particular Mt Binga in Year 9, are often a major highlight of a students time at the College.
