Junior

Faith Lutheran College, Redlands Junior School is structured to cater for students in their primary years at Faith, Prep through to Year 6, and is situated on our Link Road campus in Victoria Point.

The Junior School years are considered to be the most important in a young person’s development. It is during this time that an inquiring attitude towards learning and a positive self-image is developed and nurtured within a warm and caring Christian environment.

Together with its quality academic program and comprehensive extra-curricular activities on offer, the Junior School provides many exciting and challenging learning opportunities for all students. Individual student progress is carefully monitored and a positive attitude to learning and growth mindset are encouraged across all year levels.

Our College community is a caring, Christian setting which, in strong partnership with our families, provides a high quality educational environment. Your child will build a strong foundation on which to grow and develop as a positive, caring young person who will take learning risks and challenge themselves to excel.

Prep

Prep is the first year of formal schooling. At Faith, our Prep students are nurtured and encouraged to learn, while growing in confidence, independence and responsibility.

During the year the Prep students are gradually integrated into Year 1 to 6 schooling through involvement in Worship, Assembly, Special Theme Days, Service Learning activities and weekly physical education, library and music lessons.

Pastoral Care and School Leadership

Students are encouraged to develop a caring attitude towards their peers and to develop a sense of responsibility. Our pastoral care program and service activities promote the development of these life skills within our students.

Our students are encouraged from Prep, to grow and learn together with activities such as our Year 5 / Prep Buddy program as well as Leadership Roles and Positions of Responsibility for all students in Year 6.

Facilities

The Junior School is well equipped with modern and exciting facilities including our Information Services Centre, Sports and Performing Arts Hall (SPAH) and an emphasis on technology integration across all year levels.

An Outside School Hours and Vacation Care program is supervised by qualified and caring staff. Parents can feel comfortable in the knowledge that their children are well looked after in a stimulating environment.
