YEAR 9/10 READERS CUP

Recently some students competed in the final Readers Cup competition for the year, the Brisbane Bayside Year 9/10 Readers Cup. This year was the first year that an event was held in this age division, and it was very well received. Students had a little over a term to read and get to know four novels as well as possible. They spent many lunch times working and studying as a team. On the day, teams were challenged with four rounds of questions, some very tricky indeed and in between rounds lots of fun was had with book trivia. Competition was fierce, with a tiebreaker needed at the end to split the top teams. The girls not only enjoyed the event, but also got to read some great books along the way. Congratulations to Anneliese, Jasmine, Tatum, Elizabeth, Madeleine, Sophie and Sophia for representing Faith so well!

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Our libraries are busy places! Currently we have many teams training for extra-curricular events, including Chess, eSports and Write a Book in a Day. Students should check Daily Notices, emails and rosters to see when their sessions are on.
