From Our Libraries T3 W6 2022
Book Week
Book Week is next week! We have a number of exciting
events planned, including a special Book Week show and ‘read-a-round’ activity
for the Junior School and of course the dress-up day and parade on both
campuses. Students are invited to come dressed as a favourite book character or
in line with the theme (Dreaming with eyes open) on Wednesday, August 24.
The Junior School will hold their parade in the SPAH at 8:50am and the
Secondary School will show off their costumes at 10:30am in the Amphitheatre
(weather permitting). Looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up –
remember that you don’t need to go out and buy costumes - the best costumes are
sometimes simple DIY costumes created from items you already have at home.
Premier’s Reading Challenge (Prep to Year 9)
Premier’s Reading Challenge
The Premier’s Reading Challenge for Prep-Year 9 finishes at the end of Book Week – August 26. Please ensure all complete reading record forms are delivered to either of our libraries by Monday, August 29. Certificates won’t arrive until late October or early November and will be presented at Assembly.
Often there are books in
high demand from our borrowers, with students making reservations and waiting
eagerly for others to return them. Please help us out by regularly sending in
library books (and Home Readers) on your child's allocated day, so that your
child can borrow different books and other students can have the opportunity to
borrow those titles
