Technology @ Faith
At Faith we embrace digital technologies, and learn coding from Prep to Year 12. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) is a high priority with students and staff.
“In the Middle School we take our coding skills to the next level and learn more advanced concepts and coding languages. We made a robotics clock from scratch. We built the parts on a 3D printer and put them together.” Year 9 student
“We use digital devices to enhance our learning. From Prep we use different apps like QR codes for our digital library. Later, in Junior School we then learn to create QR codes. We also get the chance to learn Robotics and how to navigate our robots around things.” Year 1 student.
The High Performance Computing Group has been supporting student learning since 2015. A small delegation of Year 10 and 11 students travel to the USA to the Super Computing conference series each November.
These students often get the opportunity to present the work completed by the club to the world and learn more about scientific computing.
