Secondary News T2 W4 2021
Remote Learning and Masks
I was so proud of the way our whole community pivoted to remote
learning. The quality of learning setup by our teachers was phenomenal and the
way our students engaged with the learning provided was nothing short of
exemplary.
In terms of masks, I just wanted to thank the whole
community for their support of this health directive. It’s tough for kids and
teachers but everyone is doing so well with them and getting on with the
business of school.
College Activities This Week and Next
Where we are able to, we will still run events safely onsite
with our students. Unfortunately, a few activities and events have had to be
cancelled this week and next as they included external people or could not be
made Covid safe.
We apologise for this but unfortunately have to work with
the restrictions in place.
The biggest activities we have had to cancel are My Futures Dinner,
Year 6 Transition Day and the geography field trip.
As things become clearer about what restrictions will look
like for the short-term future, we will continue to keep families informed.
Subject Electives
We have just been through the subject selection process for Year
10 and 11 2022. For families in younger year levels that are interested in what

We are also finalising an exciting new elective program for
students in Years 8 and 9 for 2022. It will include some of the old favourites
plus a few new ones.
These courses have been designed after consultation with
students, staff, and families. Please keep an eye out for some information
evenings happening towards the end of term.
