Graduates 2022
This week was our Year 12’s last normal week of school before they leave us to prepare for examinations and then what will be their actual final week of school ever!
So this week we have had lots of mini celebrations and lasts:
- Last ever lessons in subjects they have been learning for many years.
- A last ever assembly and chapel that they run. If you get a chance watch the Facebook post of this. It was hilarious.
- Last rollcall in the morning or even potentially a last late slip for some.
- A special morning tea where we will say some positive words and pray for them as they take those first steps towards the next part of their story.
- Year 12 Hospitality students got to serve their last coffees to staff. We hope they appreciate us going above and beyond as we let them practice on us. I have particularly enjoyed the regular Iced Chocolates delivered to class.
In four weeks time the celebrations and lasts will culminate in a final last as they walk down the red path for one final time as they exit the school.
They depart us as our 40th Anniversary graduates. They depart as a huge part of our story as a College. They depart ready to write the rest of their story. But most of all they depart in the knowledge that they have been loved at Faith by our community and our God and as they move onto their next chapter they will continue to be.
MyPath Level 3 - Learning by Internship
One of our new courses sees students research different professions and then organise themselves a work placement in one. We have seen students completing work experience in areas such as schools, dental practices, outdoor education centers, architects, retail stores and more. It has been so good to again see how our MyPath program is providing unique subject offerings and experiences for our students.
Electives for 2023
Mr. Moore and I are slowly making our way through the subject selection process and timetabling. Our aim is to let students know their subjects in the second half of this term as we finalise staffing and timetables.
