Secondary News T4 W9 2022

Thank you!

As I chat to students, families and staff I am acutely aware of what of massive year this has been for everyone at the College. We have launched a huge new program, had 40 events for 40 years and increased our sports and cultural opportunities for students. On top of that we have had a post pandemic year that has been like no other. From those early enforced isolations to the regular waves of covid, flu, colds plus just about every other virus going around. And let’s not forget the rain and floods at the start of the year.

This has placed a huge strain on our community. But haven’t we flourished through it all.

So my article is simply one of gratitude and appreciation.

Gratitude and appreciation for:

  • Those that have gone the extra mile to write new engaging courses
  • The teachers and aides that have spent countless hours supporting students as they catch up
  • The admin staff who have managed through absences to still provide our students and families with a great experience
  • Our facilities team who always smile and keep our campus looking great
  • To our students who have kept smiling and putting in an amazing effort throughout this year. You are all simply amazing.

I am most grateful though for the love that we feel throughout our community as a constant. The love of God as he watches over us, guides us and works through us to make Faith Lutheran College a special place of learning and community.

I pray that all our families have a safe, enjoyable and restful break.

I look forward to welcoming you all plus many new students in 2023.
