Tennis Competitions (Green, Orange & Red Ball)

Look out Nadal, watch out Kyrgios & Kokkinakis, Faith has our very own mini-Woodbridge coming through the ranks. Our Junior Faith Tennis stars had an incredible tournament along some of the best in the region, to vie for a spot at the state championships in the Green Ball, Orange Ball and Red Ball competitions this week. With intense focus, a fierce forehand and a brutal backhand our Faith students fought hard to the end, and only narrowly missed out on progressing to the next stage by a couple of games. Well done tennis stars.

Netball Grand Final

A huge congratulations to all our Falcons netball teams making it to the final series. We had strong numbers going into the first final, the semi-finals round. And after some great netball, we had three teams move through to the preliminary rounds last weekend. After some challenging conditions and oppositions, now only one team remains – Intermediate Falcons Blue.

Wishing our intermediate netball team all the best for their Netball Grand final on Saturday. Come down and support the Falcons as they wrap up the season on Saturday 10th September - 11:45am at Redlands Netball Association.

Beware the Falcon!

Positive or it’s Pointless Campaign

Originally an AFL campaign, Positive or it’s Pointless is now shared among all sporting clubs and associations. It aims to ensure Faith Falcons Sport is safe, fun and inclusive for our students by reducing poor and unacceptable player, spectator and parent behavior. The program unites the Faith Falcon community and encourages our students to love their sport.

Being a Falcon (on or off the field) as a player, supporter, coach, official or volunteer you can support our sporting teams by applauding, encouraging and respecting the match day efforts for both teams and officials.

Things you can do Before the game

  • Encourage all players to have a go, do their best and have fun!
  • Tell them that you are proud of them, no matter what the outcome
  • Remind them to treat every person like they would like to be treated.

During the game

  • Cheer for your children and recognise good play – even if it’s another team member or an opponent. There are other parents watching the game too and they will appreciate your good sportsmanship
  • Keep it positive, don’t criticise or give instructions from the sidelines
  • Respect the decision-making of the coaches and officials.
